Alienware focused on getting the entire weekend vibe-checking on Twitter, asking gamers what they’re playing. Now, the answers did not disappoint at all.

So the chaotic battle-royale games were there… and then someone installing Windows XP?? Yep, one of those threads.

First, much respect to the GTA 5 player in the 5M RP servers (Recker29, we see you). Just think about it: appreciation. So, Helldivers 2 is a half-and-half with Apex Legends, because why settle for one shooter when you got two?

But the weirdness continues. Somebody is installing Windows XP as if it was 2003 again (PC Philanthropy needs some answers). Then some are diving deeper into Assassin’s Creed Unity, which–Hot take–is still underrated. Fight us.

Down the lane, Tiago Nascimento enters in with the classic, “Rip and tear until it is done” (mad respect). Of course, we cannot glamorize the super-chaos of a fine Saturday in Marvel Rivals, courtesy of Blaine The Pain.

Acknowledgment, by the way, goes to Jonathan: the man for the new Aurora build casually flexing saying, “Every game at max settings 144fps… still looking for a game to make this PC sound like it’s on.” Bruh. Keep a few frames for the rest of us.

Mad respect for the Valorant player who says “playing in my mind” (yacinedell, we digress). However, the grind happens in your mind.

Then comes the mention of an Elden Ring onesie (shadow.vfs, are you okay??). That game already offers enough struggle without extra nightmares, but hey, go for it.

This had some wildcards as well, including Heroes of the Storm (Aaron H., staying classic) and Star Wars Battlefront 2 (DonutFarmer0, man of culture). Then there’s that guy asking about ARP points in Alienware Arena’s memory game (Sathdora, we’re lost too).

So take-away? Gamers will literally be playing EVERYTHING this weekend, retro throwbacks to cutting-edge shootouts… such an insane variety. And downright we love it.

We excuse ourselves rushing for the bootup of anything and everything. Maybe let the ashes of nostalgia rise by booting up Windows XP. Or maybe just maybe, an existential crisis in the corner because our PC is nowhere close to max setting like Jonathan’s. Game on, people. 🦾
