Now that the scene is set, the contest needs some context. Respawn is giving away Sparrow goodies to whoever offers the best answer to the question: What is your favorite Sparrow ability? The contest ends on June 15, 2025. For free. So now go ahead; give your Sparrow answers; it should be rather easy, wouldn’t it? If you actually go through the answers, brace yourself for mayhem.
Given that the Apex players are wonderfully unhinged, it became a prime opportunity to wax lyrical about their grievances. Some, like @FabianooAndrade, threw themselves in there begging to win for real, and crying emojis for good measure. Then you have @deleteallTTVers saying, “Should make merch that says uninstall the game,” as they deemed the merch conversation far too tangential. Ouch.
And some talked about balance. @a_h_e_n_y_b hit the ground with a demand for Ash nerfs, also saying that Sparrow pick rate is dropping “not because he’s weak, but because Ash is too strong.” @fakesmiIe meanwhile, targeted Devotion, calling for “MASSIVE nerfs” and saying they will quit the game if changes are not made. Classic Apex banter.
And then, technical problems. @ChiefSeef is ruining it all with a screenshot of his game being fully non-functional after the update, sarcastically thanking Respawn for the “fun” experience of having no way to play. @moneygangman17 posted the same grievances, blaming EA for the slow death. Yikes.
But hey, not everyone felt very melancholic; some players actually answered the question! Shock. Double jump was deemed by @doctor_radical the best addition to the game, whereas @BranthiumBabe joked about the tee granting them the looks of a “Bocek-wielding badass.” And then you have a Bloodhound main loving this giveaway in the form of @ittzjoh4nn4. Wholesome? Yeah, right, in this community? Rare.
And, of course, with no random demands, an Apex thread wouldn’t be complete. @ChyroZero is wanting Solo Back Forever; @EdgarRiveraRoj1 is begging for a Switch upgrade, and @kunaiSpin is on his 11th day of petitioning for the old Wraith kunai spin animation. Prioritize everyone!
So, are you going to enter the giveaway? Or is that a little too much while you’re busy raging about Ash, The Devotion, or about Quebec and Mexico getting excluded (@beesparda and @weonmalo29, seriously NOT happy about this)? Whatever the case, the Apex Legends community stays in complete chaos and with tons of passion to back it.
