Night City has never been this cheap, chooms. CD Projekt Red announced a crazy discount for Cyberpunk 2077 and its Phantom Liberty expansion: a discount of up to 60% for the Ultimate Edition. The sale, in itself, is big fun, but it is yet to fulfill the sore points of some factions: much-wanted updates and fixes, and delayed platform releases.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account swore to declare this Great Sell-Off under an official banner exuding the neon-lit aura of the game. The tweet made some rather subtle fun about the prices of CHOOH2, a fuel in the game, saying they’d sky-rocketed when they had actually just fallen. The discount applies to various platforms; hence the ripples of confusion in the replies since CDPR had made no clarifying statement on that matter whatsoever.

Oh, there were so many replies from the fans! All with opinions. Some were happy about it, with GamesWithGrandpa noting, “preem time to pick this up chooms!” Other replies were laced with pain, as N2S lamented: “Bought it a few days ago 😭😭.” That freaking timing, right?

The real fun began as players started to ask about the missing features and platforms. Several people, including ProTeneb and champagnealejo, wanted to know: Where’s the Mac release? CDPR has maintained silence on this, leaving Apple gamers out in the cold, meanwhile. Rutherford Simeshini snarkily called them out to update FSR to 3.1; he called them “corpso,” an in-universe wild card for dirty corporations. Yikes.

We had our sea of regional price complaints. straysteez pointed out that the price in Brazil stands at 3500R$, more than 600 US dollars—twice of what Brazil pays their citizens for a minimum wage. “Its expensive here 😭,” sparking a mini-debate about the fairness of price setting globally. XZachX_56 came along with some tough love: “Gang u gotta upgrade let the PS4 rest.”

It wasn’t all from this movie. RinoTheBouncer went on to dub Cyberpunk 2077 a “masterpiece for generations to come,” and PonyTears11 called it their “favourite game!!” High praise for a game with a difficult entry.

So what is on sale now? The base game, the Phantom Liberty expansion (which is very much trying to fix a grand majority of issues from the original), and the Ultimate Edition bundling both. So, if you have been holding out, probably jump in now unless you are waiting for that Mac port or FSR 3.1 update.

Late Night City has never been this welcoming, despite some citizens still clamoring for better service. Perhaps CDPR has a surprise patch or discount up its sleeve to calm the waters. Or they could let the edgerunners battle it out in the comment section. Either way, the stories go on.

And, hey, if you’re still not fully convinced, there are mods. FSAPOJake dropped this little nugget: You could mod in FSR 3.1 or 4.0 in like two minutes. So… problem solved? Kind of? Night City is all about workarounds anyway.
