The loot train has left the station, and there is an abundant amount of goodies! The Daybreak update is hot out of the oven on the Explorer and Eternity difficulty levels inside the Rite of the Nine dungeons. And that is only the start of Loot-A-Palooza. Oh, you heard right! Loot. A. Palooza.

First up, from the Emissary, we’ve got Nonary Engrams full of good cosmetics: Armor Ornaments, Shaders, or maybe some seasonal ones that you missed out on. If you are a newer player, the Emissary also brings Exotic Weapons for just-in-time preparations for The Edge of Fate because nothing says “welcome to Destiny” better than being handed an Exotic that can be used to mow down hordes of enemies.

Now wait for this: things might become unbelievably good if someone could describe The Armorer Xûr is bringing this Friday. Relatively little is known now, but if the situation so far is any guide, “spicy” might mean anything from god-roll Exotic to a weapon that has not seen any use for seasons. Instead, players have gone wild in the replies, with @Xsecret15X asking, “Ok but how spicy are we talking for Xûr?” I honestly want to know.

And what did Bungie look at and conclude about throwing a little chaos? PvP Drops have been buffed now, providing better rewards in Crucible, and the Scores of Osiris are also getting this “treatment” this Weekend. So if you have been waiting to dive into Trials since forever, then maybe now would be a pretty good time to go in headfirst and drown before the sweatlords take over.

A few curses tossed in Discourse. The Nonary Engrams have a cap: 20 for the start, then one a day after Tuesday, and the players are not willing to sugarcoat it. @louiewisnyai made a direct comment: “You guys finally add good stuff for the store and it’s not even in the store and then it’s limited to only 20. Sucks.” @OakCcTrk continued the rage: “Even if it was the first 20 are 350 and then after that it was 1000 per, I would grind and play so much.” Bungie ought to learn.

Threw in all kinds of chaos scattered through the replies. @SirMcVibes throws a little shade: “Bros only done prophecy 💀” (yeah, that stings), and then @grandpries1 went full roast: “Do you really think this fatass plays his own game by his takes from the stream?” Yikes. Meanwhile, @aldotoro56 and @FanofKaiCenat_6 seem almost desperate to find out about a secret triumph connected to the Illuminated seal, although Bungie is keeping quiet on it.

So, what’s the actual verdict? If there has ever been a single reason to return to Destiny 2, this would be it. From new engrams, to the mystery drop of Xûr, to the fat PvP rewards that can be worked for, it is a big grind. Just don’t go spending all your Nonary Engrams on one go; pace yourself, Guardian. Edge of Fate is coming; you are going to need all the loot you can lay your hands on.

Keep an eye out for Xûr; “spicy” could turn out to be anything. If there ever was a moment, owing to Destiny’s track record, the “spicy” would mean either the best thing ever or just a huge troll. That really leaves no middle ground.
