Recently, Blizzard has stirred up the Diablo IV community—tomorrow, July 1, marks the arrival of the secret Horadrim magic into Diablo IV. Catalysts, Arcana, and Infusions are new ways to forge spells fore! Pretty neat, huh? Eh… Not for everybody.

The official Diablo Twitter account gave fans a little taste of the update through a nice little video showcasing the new mechanics. Players will combine these components for custom spells, thus giving the game a fresh new appeal in custom building. Some people are embracing the idea, while others are questioning…

One player, @El JÉFE, expressed the thrill with an amicable “Can’t wait 🎉,” whereas @Triumvir joked that Diablo IV is “becoming a bullet-hell rogue-like game.” Another comment went: “WHYS U NERF EVERYTHING SMH.” That day…

And the backlash seemed to persist. @MovingTheFox blasted Blizzard over endgame content, stating, “We’re still doing the same thing since season 4… What’s the point?” And there were others like @_ySoCereal calling the update “same old bs,” accusing Blizzard of retreading old content instead of breaking new ground.

Then, it gave the PS Plus stacking… @levijimenez3, risking all to ask for a free PS5 code, was quickly shot down by @Mel_Ancholie_, who said base game will be free to download for PS Plus Essential members in July. But @_ySoCereal strongly disagrees, saying, “Without PS Plus, it’s barely worth it” because of all the restrictions.

Players, man. Ready to quit on a dime. According to @Noobshot86, the update is “same crap, different coat of paint,” and that got @fftactics98 on “overpriced skins” and no new characters. Then there’s @Nate50723854 telling it: “Dogshit ass dead game.”

Moving on to an optimistic vibe, some players, such as @RawCyberHub, are expecting big changes—new classes, zones, and foes; @Winterscythe11 just really wants a heavy armor class of any sort for now (Paladin, please).

So, will Horadrim magic resurrect Diablo IV, or is this just another patch on a bandaged game that is losing players? We find out tomorrow. Reacting to all that is quite a treat.

Until then, if Diablo still has a place in your heart, prepare to tinker with Catalysts and Infusions. Or, should you be over it, the drama is quite a show to watch!
