The official Final Fantasy Twitter account announced that Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles would release on September 30, while Final Fantasy VII Remake INTERGRADE will come to Xbox this winter. Oh yes, that means Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.25 and Final Fantasy XVI are already tied towards them.
Now let us unpack some of this under so much. First: Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. It is not just about a re-release; in fact, it goes far beyond the usual tactical RPG, introducing new storylines, characters, and mechanics for everyone. Everyone has been calling for a true revitalization of the Tactics series, and the Dream is finally coming true. So, free up September 30 in your calendar.
Then, we have the PlayStation exclusive Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. The Xbox version has been awaited for years, and now, the wait will come to an end in winter 2024. Visual upgrades, Episode INTERmission DLC (Yuffie), and other upgrades found on the PS5 version are all packed into that. Better late than never, right?
Meanwhile, Final Fantasy XIV on Xbox gets Patch 7.25 adventures, with new story content, new dungeons, and the quality of life of their choice. And if you were holding out for Final Fantasy XVI, the moment is here. No more waiting.
Not all are ecstatic, though. Many Spanish speakers fume at the thought that Final Fantasy Tactics has yet to be translated into Spanish.
