Fortnite was keen on dropping a teaser for the five new skins, and the reactions are all over the place: the greater number were excited about the reveal; others were roasting the show; yet some were begging Epic to bring an older fave back. The leaker HYPEX dropped a tweet showing off the cosmetics, and the reply section? Mayhem.
Number one, the girl with blue hair in the teaser is already causing a stir among the viewers. Ellie (@tinkerellies) just said, “girl wit blue hair 🤩”, and honestly, I agree. But not many people were really feeling the drips. Nirvan (@Nir7ann) called them “so ugly,” while Luis (@luismetax) basically said nothing but dropped sleepy emojis: “These look mid 🥱🥱🥱.” Ouch.
Then we have the whole Rue situation; Waleed (@WaleedXRue) was begging: “RUE HELLO? ðŸ˜ðŸ˜,” as if they have been personally betrayed by Epic Games skin rotation. And don’t stray far from interference thrown by Leah (@leahspv): “Everything but street fighters,” and mdworstt (@mdworstt) was enraged: “Just bring back street fighters wth are these fuckass skins they can smd.” Yikes.
However, maybe just to make sure no one’s wallet gets emptied, Joshua (@j2shuaa) said just the simple words: “we will be buying,” with Soulbound TV (@Soulbound_TV) expressing a universal feeling: “I only have two emotions: broke and buying anyway 💸.” Tiene razón. Meanwhile, Phee (@awphee) stated a top-right skin obsession: “I NEED HER. she looks so clean.”
Did you say rare political requests? Black Widow Fan (@OGBlackWidowFan) popped one, saying, “We want Joe Biden Icon skin instead.” Uh… sure, why not?
The teaser also would give rise to mad speculations. Theo (@MichelucciTheo) thinks one of the skins might be referencing a custom Nightwing design they made on TikTok; meanwhile, DragonManAndy (@DragonManAndy) just hopes these land in the next update.
Fortnite skin reveals are always one hell of a mixed bag: some players love them, other want to kill them, and a few want to go back to Rue. And one thing’s for sure: Epic definitely knows how to stir the pot. At least these skins will be talked about, whether they flop or become instant classics.
