The new Robin official skin totally sent underscores above new heights to great hysteria, not all for sure. HYPEX showcased that boy wonder all the way whereas some players were hyped while most begged for alternate styles such as Nightwing or Red Hood. Classic gamers.
First and foremost, the skin is slick with Robin’s street-smart green and red suit and the cape to match. “But, Fortnite, they have opinions!” A barrage of comments was starved in unison: “Where’s Nightwing?” and “We need Red Hood next!” @assy_92 herself said, “That’s Red Robin…Need Nightwing and New 52 Robin.” And I say, cool.
Pretty much this discussion as to which Robin this really is—Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, or Damian Wayne—is already a whole thing. @MalcxlmFN tried to bring a bit of closure with: “Pretty sure the left is Dick and the right is Damian. C’mon 🤦♂️,” while @ppeeanus went full nuclear: “this better be dick grayson i stg if its fucking tim i’m gonna kill 80 million people.” Yikes. Someone is passionately into Bat-lore.
Then come the edit vibes. @CombatStrikerX pleaded, “Nightwing edit style plz🙏,” while @duducb31 added more demands: “We need Nightwing, Red Hood, and Bat Girl!” If they actually did drop a full Gotham City Battle Pass, I doubt it would mend the souls of these people.
Some, meanwhile, are just happy that Robin is finally in the game. @Tasteless_Gritz rejoiced, “My boy has finally made it,” with @Bicicleta__ added, “Crazy to think that it took this long.” Indeed, Fortnite has seen Batman, Catwoman, even Harley, but Robin? That took a minute.
Naturally, no Fortnite skin reveal is complete without people asking, “Is it a Battlepass skin?” Mr. @MccormackA51396 straight-up asked, “Will he be in the battlepass,” and @ChaysSmith responded with a hopeful tear for a Teen Titans tag: “I am hoping that he is part of the teen titans set and maybe we can also get cyborg in the item shop.”
And that was judged utter madness. @r1ka_kawaii had tasted victory by saying, “i hope he is cunty.” Not another word. Just vibes.
What are the verdicts then? Robin is in Fortnite, and the players are asking for more—Nightwing edits, Red Hood variants, maybe even Batgirl. The possibilities are endless. Are they gonna get what they want? Who knows. But I can say that the Gotham sidekicks have a chokehold on Fortnite fandom.
Anyway, excuse me; I have got an item shop to keep refreshing for that inevitable Nightwing drop. Any day now…right?
