Chase the Skies, the highly anticipated new Minecraft update, has just been dropped by Mojang and the player community has been throwing up huge waves of excitement. It rushes in with a bunch of exciting new features: fly with the happy ghast, leash camels into caravans, and even find wandering friends with the Player Locator bar. But folks say just wait: the big bonanza wash for Bedrock Edition players is what really whets one’s appetite – Vibrant Visuals.

What is Vibrant Visuals? It is a comprehensive makeover of the game’s graphics, boosting everything from sunsets to brilliant water reflections. There’s a teaser link provided by Mojang that shows a glimpse of it, but the players that jumped into the upgrade were completely blown away. The skies are more vibrant; the light cast has become gloriously dynamic; it’s basically an HD-glasses moment experienced for the very first time.

Then, of course, there are some in the player community who plainly aren’t with it. “Wait, vibrant visuals is only for bedrock? Thats disappointing :/,” said @Polygohma on Twitter. Taking things one step further mischief-wise, @BaseySOL expressed joy that the update hit mobile first rather than the Switch 2, as had been rumored. “You put time and effort to make a switch update, but this too much?” they vented.

Then the bugs. “@MarcelPemler: On doing all the installation necessary, updating to version 1.21.90, still no Vibrant Visuals functioning on Xbox Series X.” Meanwhile, @ChxrryCars in their dismay learned, “It DOESNT WORK WITH TEXTURE PACKS.”

Notwithstanding, the update was much favored with the players. “@Keskuul: One of the best updates in a while,” chimed @DarrenW25673939, celebrating that “@DarrenW25673939: Ps5 just updated!”.

Hard words were thrown at hopefuls from Switch 2 by @bartonovopolis: “It took them years to optimize the game for next-gen consoles so prepare to wait years for a Switch 2 version as well.” Ouch.

Disasters aside, a fair number of gamers do consider the update to be a great one. “@Keskuul: One of the best updates in a while,” with @DarrenW25673939 celebrating, “@DarrenW25673939: Ps5 just updated!”.

If you have gone to flaunt all your sky-high adventures or scenery, the game is already making waves. But please don’t get too hyped without checking to see if your platform is on the list. And for those who are not, you’ll have more time to leash some camels.
