Nintendo declared to the world, forged in the stratosphere of tremendous hype: Nintendo Switch 2, this is it—the delay from being released just a week away. The hype was so real that the internet exploded with reactions, memes, and solid excitement (and, of course, some skepticism because gamer logic).
If that was not enough, the official Nintendo of America account just released an official console teaser with the fancy new logo and a view of the dock and Joy-Con controllers. Full specs have yet to be revealed; on a positive note, it’s Nintendo, and they do like their surprises. One week from launch, players are scrambling to pre-order, lamenting missed opportunities, and mocking the whole thing. Classic.
There is some screaming “WE’RE SO READY!” (à la @EpikzWallop) while others side-eye the price and potential lineup: “$550 plus tax for one mid game?” Ouch. Meanwhile, @JuanMVP is still delighted with his OG Switch. Okay, back to @RyanW574: fingers-counting prayers that… “Ghost” will not suddenly come forth and cancel his pre-order.
See? It’s broken up madly between hype and chaos. @SparkleBlow shakes with excitement: “I am so excited 😊😊😊,” whereas @TheJasperRaster simply fires out, “lol I can’t imagine anybody cares.” A bold take, John. BOLD! And then @galaxyai__ is just down wishing it has a built-in coffee maker because, basically, so do they.
Let’s cut to logistics-real mess, for sure, with a Nintendo launch. @adriartpotato is stressing about stock; “They better be one available for me because I was too late to pre-order.” Yeah. Good luck with that. And @alexpsx with the real question: “Can you even play it on launch lol?” Fair. Remember the Wii U? Exactly.
Of course, other people aren’t sold. @JJ9789 is over here with his priorities: “No, thanks. I prefer to have groceries and gas.” Respect. And @MisterBrodo? Just kind of asking Nintendo to “Raise the price.” Uh… why?
One thing is certain: Whatever your view is-are they hype, are they skeptical, or is it all for the drama-the Nintendo Switch 2 is going to shake and rock the gaming world. Will it live up to the insane expectations? Will it turn to Wii U? Will @JacquesPaught finally have his first-ever launch-day console? We shall see in seven days.
Until then, keep refreshing those store pages, keep your fingers crossed, and maybe. Save for those $20 chat buttons (@ife24353787 called it). Nintendo has us by the chokehold, and honestly, we do not even hate it.
