If you ever thought the hype over LoL can go further, PEYZ simply applied some crazy LPL-style limit-testing to prove you wrong. In this almost universally talked-about clip, PEYZ was pushing the limit hard, and reactions ran completely wild.
First of all, what is limit-testing? For the less-initiated in LoL lingo, the player takes their champion to the very brink of what can be done-test how much one can get away with before punishments kick in. Sometimes it does, sometimes it spectacularly backfires. When it works? Man, that’s when it is glorious, and PEYZ gave us one of those moments.
The clip was dropped by @lolesports on Twitter, captioning it as “PEYZ LIMIT-TESTING in the LPL 🤯,” with replies firing off faster than a fed Zed ult. The fans went berserk: “OH MY GOD HE IS THE BEST WIZER PLAYER IN BRAZIL,” said @TkDenilson, and @pakasz1 chimed in “Wizer > Zeus.” Looks like Wizer hype is really a thing now.
This only fueled the Brazilian fanbase. @fealonsott commented says: Wizer top 1 jogada da semana mundial. Painzuda vem pra copar esse MSI, anota ai. Translation? They’re already calling it one of the best plays in the world and hyping paiN Gaming for MSI. The energy is downright intoxicating.
Others were not convinced. @vitomanoeli went back: “Peyz caiting wasn’t better than Furia allowing Wizer to live? Aight.” And now the debate was ON.
The meme lords were let loose in the meantime. @peeh_henrique10 wrote, “The Right subtitle for this would be: WIZER teaching child’s in the LTA Sul.” @Genesistheneme1 gave his stamp of approval for Wizer: “É ele, o homi, @lolwizer, gopaiN.” Translation: Wizer is the man, and paiN Gaming fans are ready to crown him king.
Professional players get involved, or something. The hype Portuguese and broken English agreements got interspersed with keyboard mashing in the replies. There was an exchange between @Arthurvsff and @teddyfzp, “Very muito dog” and “this paiN Gaming joga a lot.” It is beautiful because of randomness.
So, what’s the takeaway? PEYZ is completely insane; Wizer is a rent-free tenant inside everyone’s head, and the LoL community was, as always, a circus. You want insane plays or even more insane comments? This clip has it all.
Look, I got to go back and watch this clip about 50 more times first. Because wow. Just wow.
